This is the official website of 'AVID', a four peice indie/rock band from the Worksop/Gainsborough area in the UK. Currently unsigned the band are currently playing Pubs, Clubs and Theatres across the country with a set comprising of original material and covers by artists such as Oasis, Stereophonics, Pink Floyd and many many more..

25/02/06 - Last night saw Avid play 'Liberty's Live music venue' in Gainsborough. A fantastic night with a full house. This time around the band played alot more original material with 'There's no other' proving to be a hit on the dance floor. The night ended with a guest appearence from the club's owner singing an Italian Punk song!! No doubt the band will be returning some time in the near future

25/02/06 - We're through!! Thankyou to everyone who voted for us. The next round of voting starts in March! Please keep up the support!!

2/01/06 - We've managed to get one of our tracks 'High' into a competition on a site called northerntrax.net , an online music mag. The competition is in conjunction with record lables n stuff and could mean big things for us if we get anywhere.

So.....

We need people to go to the site and vote for us. The only way we get past the first round is to get enough votes so PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW and help us get through!

20/11/05 - The last few weeks have seen Avid play once again at The Ship in Worksop. I think it's fair to say that this has become Avid's home venue, something that's been missing since the band stopped their regular appearences at the Holmfield in Whitwell. Again the gig was packed with well over 100 in attendance. Also new for this gig was the amount of Avid's own matterial which made it to the set list, more tham ever before! This proved a success and will hopefully be more common in the future. Also new to the set list was a cover of Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' which saw Dru on vocals for the first time ever and was brilliant!
